The Directors - Sleigh On Fire
As a covers band we like to try and do things with our own twist - otherwise you might as well just stick the CD on...

Anyway we're going with a particular treatment of the great "Sex On Fire" by Kings Of Leon. Read on for the Christmas song of the next decade... recording is scheduled for early 2011, and the music will be here once ready.

Sleigh On Fire

 

Laden with presents      Just off the ground
Santa is heading    Off on his rounds

There’s a commotion    As he’s flying away
The Elves can see fire    At the back of the sleigh

Santa   Your sleigh is on fire

(Just ) over a valley    Santa’s looking around
He sees people shouting   But can’t hear a sound

Thinks it’s a greeting   His heart filled with joy

Burning   -  with flames getting higher

Panicking Reindeer  Fire out of control
Santa can smell it  And taste it

Emergency landing    Deep in the snow
The sleigh and Rudolf  -  Both continue to glow ...  to glow

Santa  -  your sleigh was on fire
Searching  -  for a taxi to hire
Consoled  -  that you didn’t expire

Santa  -  your sleigh was on fire
Burning   -  with flames getting higher
